Thanks to William Rusco and Steve Avery for helping me test this battle.
**

Dedicated to Wild Bill for all he has done for me during the development of SPWAW. Bill,
I hope that your "retirement" will allow you the opportunity to scrutinize the efforts of
one of your "students". Thank you for everything.

The battered and exausted Germans of 6th Army are pressing in on Stalingrad. The closer
the Germans get to the city, the more fierce the resistance. The battle for the train
station near downtown Stalingrad was among the fiercest of fights. In one 6 hour period of
time, the train station changed hands 4 times.
**

In this scenario, a company attached to XXIV Panzer Div attempts to control the train
station. A detachment of the Soviet 42d Guards regiment will resist. The Guards are
assisted by a detachment of the Soviet Navy (not Marines). Soviet Naval personnel fought
with great distinction at Stalingrad. That is why they are included here.

Design note: Human should play German side with Command turned off. Limited Intel should
be turned on.
**

Too Easy or Difficult?*
Too Easy, turn German Infantry Toughness and Hitting to 90*
Too Difficult, turn German Infantry Toughness and Hitting to 110.
**

Take command of the German force and gain control of the train station. It will
not be easy.
**

Both forces are roughly company sized.
